Allen Price was engaged to prepare a development application for the construction of a residential apartment building within an established residential area in Kiama.
The project required working with the architect, local council, external consultants and involved project management of the proposal, while we were engaged to deliver site survey, engineering design, subdivision and deposited plans to ensure that a compliant, successful final design was achieved both legislatively and physically.
We also took the lead in project managing and preparing a Statement of Environmental Effects for the demolition of 3 dwellings and the construction of a three-storey (above two basement level car park) residential apartment complex comprising 51 dwellings. The proposal involved a complex assessment of detailed design issues arising in relation to the then SEPP 65 and NSW Apartment Design Guide as well as issues relation to traffic impacts, train noise and vibration impacts and geotechnical issues.
Kiama Council granted approval for the project in 2022. This successful outcome underscored our ability to navigate and resolve complex regulatory and environmental issues, delivering results that consistent with both client’s aspiration and the broader planning framework.
